However, it is possible to lose 5 pounds in a week if you train your body to be a fat burning machine.

Calories Counting Is Important

Losing weight fast starts with counting your daily caloric intake. Calorie counting doesn't have to be a rigid task and can be mastered with a little practice. You can get a calorie counter on eBay, Amazon, or any sporting goods store. It is recommended that you consume anywhere from 1,600 to 2,000 calories a day in order to shed those unwanted pounds, quickly. I would not recommend consuming much less then 1,600 calories because this will cause your body more harm. If you really want to lose 5 pounds in a week you need to monitor you calories more adequately and this means cutting out the late night eating and the sudden impulses to go to McDonalds.

Good And Bad Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates supply our body with energy and are required in order to live a healthy life. There are good and bad carbohydrates. Bad carbohydrates are simple sugars effortlessly broken down and contain very little nutrients in the sugar string. However, good carbohydrates are the found in nature and typically do not cause an elevated rise in blood sugar levels. With the ever so popular Atkins and South Beach Diet many people have learned that they should cut down there carbohydrate intake. However, just attacking carbohydrates for weight loss is not plausible because there are many pieces to weight loss puzzle.

Having Knowledge on calories and carbohydrates will allow you to lose 5 pounds in a week.
