How to Lose Weight Rapidly

Weight Loss Areticles : How to Lose Weight Rapidly by Chris Crawford

I know how hard it is to lose the weight, especially if you're like me-someone with a slugglish metabolism.

There are many different ways to lose weight quickly, but many of these so called "crash" diets are short term fixes and result in a rebound effect when the diet can't be sustained. You end up weighing more when it's all over.

Here are some tips for the best natural way to lose weight and to get out of the yo-yo trap...

1. When you're hungry, go and eat. Starvation diets don't work and only result in metabolism slow down. This defeats the purpose and results in a binge rebound effect. If you aren't hungry, then you won't have food on your mind all the time.

2. Eat consciously. Chew your food slowly and try to chew 20 times before swallowing it. How many times have you wolfed down your food and don't remember eating it? Savior your food. Think about the actuall eating process. Put your knife and fork down and think about the taste of your food.

3. Stop eating when you feel full. Don't eat everything that's on your plate. Hint: Close your eyes when you eat and see if you're still hungry. If not, stop eating. Tune into what your stomach is telling you.

4. If you're hungry in 10 minutes, go eat again. Then stop when you're full. But don't eat just to eat. Wait until you really feel hungry.

5. Drink lots of water. If you're dehydrated, you think you're hungry. When you feel hungry, drink water. If you're still hungy, go eat. If not, then don't! Repeat steps above once you're really and truly hungry!

The first three letters in "diet" is "die". Diets aren't sustainable. You must find a way to accomodate a lifestyle change. Something you can maintain for the rest of your life.

I've tried many different diets and I keep coming back to the South Beach Diet. I find it's the best natural way to lose weight fast and keep it off over time.

How To Get Rid of Man Breasts

Weight Loss Articles : How To Get Rid of Man Breasts by Andrew Kawoski

I'm going to tell you about the different causes of gynecomastia (man breasts), and the different ways of getting rid of them. Man breasts are not always caused by excess bodyfat, although that is usually the case. They can also be caused by a hormonal imbalance (excess estrogen in the blood stream) that's most common in adolescence (when you're a teenager), although it's possible for this to also be the cause even if you're older. If you really believe a hormonal imbalance is playing a part in your gynecomastia, then I highly recommend you check out the link I have at the end of this article for something that is specifically designed to address man breasts caused by hormonal imbalances.

Diet and Exercise

If the cause of your man breasts is excess body fat, then diet and exercise is probably the best route to take first:

-Diet by restricting your calories; it doesn't matter which diet you use to do this, they all work by the same principle. You can use SugarBusters, The Zone, Atkins, South Beach, etc. My personal favorite is the French, or Mediterranean diet, for which I highly recommend you check out a book by Will Clower called 'The Fat Fallacy'.

-Exercise at least 3 times per week, preferably doing both strength training AND aerobic exercise. The strength training will help to sculpt, harden, and shape your chest so that when you do get your bodyfat percentage down, you'll already have a well-sculpted chest and hard pecs. I would recommend doing strength training twice per week, and aerobic exercise 2-3 times per week. If you're coupling this with a proper diet, you really can't go wrong, you WILL burn fat. The nice thing about aerobic exercise is that there's so many different ways to get it: Racquetball, basketball, running, elliptical machines, tread mills, cycling, spinning machines, swimming, etc. Just pick your favorite and do it!

Consider A Pre-Packaged Program:

A friend of mine, who struggled with man boobs for years, has put together a prepackaged program for guys who want to lose their man boobs together, and I highly recommend it to those that are serious about doing this and especially if you have a severe problem that previous weight loss techniques have been unable to help with, since the method he delves into has to do with hormone balancing--I personally saw him lose his man boobs in about 3 months time, even his doctor was surprised he did it--check it out here:

The Advanced Man-Boob Destruction Method!! (that's not really what it's called, I just thought that sounded cool :D )

What makes a low-carb diet work?

Weight Loss Articles : What makes a low-carb diet work? by Jim Mackey

Obesity continues to be a major problem for millions of people. But, even those who aren't clinically obese want desperately to lose some excess weight. They're tired of feeling sluggish. They want to feel healthier. They want to live longer. For many of these people, the temptation to follow a new high-profile diet is almost too tempting to resist.

While most diets that capture the imaginations of people with promises of quick weight loss tend to disappear over time, the South Beach Diet continues to gain fans and devotees. In this article, you'll learn the basics of the South Beach Diet, the foods that are encouraged and whether adopting the diet is healthy.

South Beach Diet Explained

The South Beach Diet works from the premise that carbohydrates are the main cause of weight gain. Therefore, eliminating carbs from your diet should result in weight loss. The theory is that consuming carbs increases the insulin levels within your body. In turn, this insulin creates a feeling of hunger. Satisfying this hunger often means consuming more carbohydrates, perpetuating a vicious cycle that results in further weight gain.

The theory behind the diet is to remove carbs from your diet and replace them with acceptable foods (discussed in the next section). This essentially prevents your insulin levels from spiking and making you crave food that your body doesn't need.

Good Foods And Bad

The South Beach Diet involves 3 phases, each with a list of foods that dieters are encouraged to eat. Phase 1 lasts 2 weeks during which dieters are supposed to avoid certain high-carb foods such as grains, cereals and bread along with fruit, dairy and potatoes. Foods that are encouraged include lean cuts of beef, seafood, pork, nuts, eggs and certain vegetables. Phase 2 begins by introducing fruits, whole grains and dairy-based products back into your diet. Phase 2 lasts until you have reached your desired weight.

Phase 3 is known as the "maintenance" phase. It's during this phase that you focus on choosing the right foods to eat to maintain your weight. At this point in the South Beach Diet, multiple servings of whole grains and fruits are encouraged daily with an emphasis on choosing foods with "good" carbs and fats.

Is The South Beach Diet Healthy?

Many nutritionists have claimed that the South Beach Diet promotes healthy dietary habits. By encouraging many important food types such as fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains, the diet doesn't omit any food group. However, during Phase 1, your electrolytes may be imbalanced as your body struggles to grow accustomed to the diet.

Losing Weight For Healthier Living

Losing weight is a long-term goal for millions of people who want to live healthier lives. By feeding your body certain foods (and avoiding others) in multiple phases, the South Beach Diet seeks to purge your body of excess fat while controlling the insulin levels that drive your cravings for food.

7 Ways To Be A Loser by Steve Campbell

Loss Weight Articles : 7 Ways To Be A Loser by Steve Campbell

The one situation in life where being a "Loser" is NOT a bad thing is... Losing Weight. So, check out the 7-Steps below, then logon to My Blog Post to catch the video... then who knows... you might just become a LOSER, too.

STEP 1. MAKE A DECISION
Right now, right here... make a decision that you are going to lose "X" amount of weight and reach your target weight of "X" lbs. Then Write It Down! Go ahead, get a piece of paper and write it down Now... I'll wait.

STEP 2. GET REAL
Select a proven weight loss plan that produces "Real Results" & Work The Plan! Whether it's South Beach, The Sonoma Diet, The Carb Rotation Diet, Weight Loss Success! or some other system based on sound nutrition-science... pick one, start the plan, and Stick With It!.

STEP 3. REACH OUT
Get support. Don't try to do this alone. Tell your family what you're doing and ask them to back your play by not eating junk foods or fattening foods around you. Also, go online and plug into a weight loss forum or community that's positive and supportive. Be careful not to hook up with a forum that's full of whiners, complainers, enablers, or excuse-makers. Here are a few good ones to look into; Diet.com, DietWatch.com, DietPower.com, My-Calorie-Counter.com.

STEP 4. DEAL WITH YOUR EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE
Deal with the emotional baggage that's fueling your weight problem. For Pete's sake, how long are we going to ignore the white elephant in the room? Lasting weight loss depends upon two things-- What you eat and WHY you eat. On my Blog I've listed the resource that will help you deal with the issue of "emotional eating" once and for all. Get the book, do the online program... whatever... but you MUST get this handled for lasting success.

STEP 5. LOSE THE JUNK
Get all of the junk food out of your house and don't buy that stuff anymore. Make it a policy not to keep snack foods in your house. If you must cheat on your plan, make it a one-shot deal when you're out at a restaurant or party... and make sure it happens only rarely. But whatever you do, don't stock your cupboards with junk food and then try to resist it. This simply doesn't work.

STEP 6. MOVE YOUR BUTT
If that sounds rude let me put it another way, get some "freakin exercise"! You don't have to get crazy with this. Just start doing some physical projects on a weekly basis. Or get a couple of exercise DVDs that are FUN-- Not BORING! Try something like Tae-Bo Amped or Hip Hop ABs. These are fun and extremely effective. Psych yourself out a little. Tell yourself you're not really exercising, you're just practicing some hot dance steps for a half hour, three times a week. How easy is that? :-)

Step 7. GET DRUNK
On purified water and lots of it. Drink 10, eight-ounce glasses of water per day. This is essential to help flush toxins and fat from your cells. But whatever you do, don't drink 10 glasses of that sludge oozing out of your water pipes. Get a high quality under-sink or kitchen faucet water filter and use only filtered water for drinking and cooking. Or buy purified bottled water at your local supermarket.

You now have everything you need to become a bona fide LOSER! So, get out there and make it happen...

To your weight loss success

Is the Zone Diet for You

Weight Loss Articles : Is the Zone Diet for You by Mary Watson

Is the Zone Diet just another fad? Well, it's currently the favourite diet of the celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt and many other well-known faces from the world of film and theatre. So what is all the fuss about?

The Zone Diet was created by Dr. Barry Sears, and is based around the consumption of correct ratios of food groups. In theory, by regulating your insulin levels, you keep your body's metabolism performing at its optimum level and the weight just falls off! Well, whatever the theory is, it seems to be working for some people so let's take a closer look at what this diet entails.

The Zone Diet

Our bodies are not fundamentally geared up to process "junk food" very well, and that's one reason why it's considered harmful to us. Although we live in a fast-paced modern age, our body structure is based on a very old design, which goes back to prehistoric times. Our bodies expect to be fed foods like lean protein and natural carbohydrates, which is exactly the foods that our ancestors would have eaten.

The theory behind the Zone Diet is if we adhere to the correct ratios of carbohydrates, fats and proteins that our body needs, we will help the body to regulate the levels of insulin. Keeping insulin at the right levels will help speed up the body's metabolism, and the result is, you lose weight. All you are actually doing is feeding the body exactly what it was designed to expect.

The ratio of food groups is: 40% Carbohydrates, 30% Fat and 30% Protein. So, each meal is based on a calculation.

Creating a Zone Diet meal can be a little tricky, as the ingredients have to be measured precisely. Food groups are classified into 'blocks' and then further classified into 'mini-blocks'. A typical meal might consist of one block of Carbohydrates, but this may be broken down further into three mini-blocks, which might comprise 1 cup of green beans, 2 cups of yellow squash and 1 glass of red wine.

The Zone Diet also allows for 2 snacks a day and the occasional glass of wine, calorific intake tends to be much lower when on the diet. In that respect it is more restrictive than other measured diets such as the South Beach Diet.

So, what are the benefits of the Zone Diet?

---Dieters tend to get all the nutrients they need, as all fruits and vegetables are okay to eat. Smaller portion sizes will also help to build a healthier lifestyle and maintain weight loss.

---Cravings for carbohydrates tend to disappear after a few days as the body adjusts to the new high protein diet.

---The concentration on lean proteins and "good cholesterol" is healthy for your heart.

---Weight loss on The Zone Diet can be very rapid! It is essentially a low-carb, low-calorie diet and can give great results in a short period of time.

The not so beneficial aspects are...

---Essentially, the Zone Diet should be considered as a short term weight loss remedy.

---Coming off the diet can result in putting the weight back on very fast if dieters return to their previous eating habits.

---The diet can work out to be quite expensive. Creating Zone meals requires buying special cookbooks and other materials.

---The Zone Diet can be time-consuming, as food preparation is sometimes a complicated process! It is therefore not practical for some people.

How I Lost 25 pounds since January 1

Weight Loss Articles : How I Lost 25 pounds since January 1 by Tim Korth

My New Years resolution was to lose 30 pounds by May 1st. I know I will hit that mark for sure. It has not been an easy thing to do. I did allot of searching on the internet about diets and weight loss, only to find one scam after another. One kind of diet after the other. Weight watchers, the atkins diet, slim fast, Nutri System, Jenny Craig, The south Beach Diet,Lose 30 pounds in 15 days. The list is endless. The key to losing weight I found out is not through quick fixes and fancy spas, no matter how much we may enjoy them, but rather it's taking a more sensible and long-term approach.

This all started when i went to the doctor for my 6 month blood work to check my thyroid condition, my high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. When i went into the room the first thing the nurse has you do is jump on the scale. For the first time in my life I was over 200 pounds, 215 to be exact. (I am 5'7" tall) I about flipped. It was then and there I decided to do something about it. Even the doctor mentioned something about it. So I told him I would start eating better and start exerciseing. Oh yeah and stop going to fast food places for lunch about four times a week. So he told me he wanted me back in three months for a check up to see how I am doing.

I decided to I would try a diet pill to get me jump started so to say. After searching the net for about four days I decided I would use the diet pill Proactol after reading http://www.weightloss-research.com/ I liked the fact that it is 100% all natural and no stimulants. After taking Proactol for one week I had to sinch up my belt by one notch. So i knew something was happening. Even people at work had noticed and commented that I looked like I was losing weight.

So then i decided to start an exercise program. Now mind you I am not the kind to hang out down at the local gym. first off I just do not have the time or money. I am married with two children who keep me pretty busy all day long. plus I do work 40 hours a week. again after searching the net for awhile I found an article about how Terrell Owens had started marketing his own home gym. I thought why would Terrell Owens be marketing a home gym. What I found out was this was no ordinary home gym. It was actually resistance bands that he was promoting. http://www.tobands.com/ Now i was never the kind of guy that liked lifting weights. mainly because about 25 years ago I had hurt my back at work and just never have been the same since. So with my wifes permission I ordered a set of the Terrell Owens exercise bands. What i like about these work out bands is the low impact they have, no stress on my joints or ligaments. After using these now for a month along with my diet that i am on I am actually starting to get toned up. I have allot more energy now, heck I even take the dog for a walk every day now.

I just got home from the Doctors office wich is what inspired me to write this, he has taken me off my cholesterol medication, and also told me if I keep doing what it is I am doing I should be able to get off the high blood pressure pills as well.

I am just way to happy the way this has turned out. i could not have done it without the Proactol and the T.O. bands. http://www.proactol.com/ http://www.tobands.com/

Forget Diets - To Achieve Health And Wellness, Learn To Eat Intentionally

Forget Diets - To Achieve Health And Wellness, Learn To Eat Intentionally by Chris Beckley

South Beach? Jenny Craig? Weight Watchers? Discount Vitamins? Discount Herbs? As America's waistline grows, more of us are looking for help in fighting the battle of the bulge. However, we're bombarded by nutrition information overload, much of it contradictory. Perhaps we can help make some sense of this subject.

First, the simple truth; we gain weight when we burn up fewer calories than we digest. No hocus-pocus can change that. To lose weight, we must reduce the amount we digest, or the amount we burn up. Most weight loss programs target one or more of these points. Some math is inevitable, and we apologize. A pound of fat represents roughly 3,500 calories. A moderate walk might burn 300 calories an hour, so for each pound you want to lose, plan to walk almost 12 hours and 36 miles, about one and a quarter laps of Manhattan Island, or 21 times across the Golden Gate Bridge. There are many benefits we realize from exercise, but losing weight strictly via exercise is a tough road. Therefore, most people end up tackling the calorie intake part of the problem. Here, we have countless choices of diet programs, but most fall into one of these categories; the food pyramid, carbohydrate restricted, and fat restricted.

Diets such as Weight Watchers' Flex Plan concentrate on eating nutritious foods in proportions similar to those of the familiar food pyramid, while limiting total calorie intake. Using a number of psychological tools including group support, the company has one of the best records for sustained success. Companies such as Jenny Craig go one step further, providing clients with premade meals that do away with any decision making. However, they don't come cheap. In the 90's, following in the footsteps of Dr. Dean Ornish's claims that a minimal fat diet could reverse heart damage, low fat diets became popular. None had the impact, however, of Dr. Atkins revolutionary low-carb diet. The notion that we could lose weight while thriving on a regime of sausage and bacon was wildly popular with the public, and has led to offshoots such as the still-popular South Beach Diet.

All have their shortcomings, however. Studies have shown the low-fat diet difficult to maintain. The low-carb diet has been linked with some increased health risks. Jenny Craig, and to a lesser degree Weight Watchers, take an ongoing financial commitment. The chances that weight lost via any of these diets will stay off after we complete the diet are poor, unless we come to accept that eating is a lifetime occupation, and finding the balance between intake and outgo is a life skill, not a campaign. The key to this is eating intentionally.

The first step is learning what our body needs. For our body to function well, it needs protein and fat, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and a thousand other nutrients. Whether from meal replacements or a savvy, wide selection of food, our health and wellness depends on stoking the engine that is our body with the proper fuel. Fortunately, what surprises many of us is that, once we start eating the fruits, vegetables, fiber that our body needs, our cravings for calorie and fat-laden snacks diminishes.

The second step in eating intentionally is breaking the negative cycle of self-criticism. To quote Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, "It's not your fault." Back in the days when we lived in caves and hunted with spears, plentitude and starvation were all to frequent. So our propensity to store food as fat is an instinct, one that served us well for thousands of years. However, this instinct isn't working for us now. In a time where scarcity isn't a problem, we need to learn to reprogram ourselves to reign in this instinct. Changing an instinctual behavior isn't impossible, either; we have learned to manage our instinct to reproduce, for example.

What eating intentionally takes is understanding about nutrition, practice, and patience. Learning how what you eat determines how you feel and function. Practicing wise food selection (and by practicing we mean trying, making mistakes, and trying again). Patience means treating yourself with kindness, looking at eating as a lifelong process, and making steady but gradual changes that last.

Learn to eat intentionally and you can jump off the diet roller coaster forever. And isn't that what we really want?

Lose Weight Super Fast

lose weight super fast by jennifer lambatan

I have always wonder why so many Americans was overweight. I just didn't get it. Many Americans are on a diet. In fact almost everyone i know is either on a diet. About to start a diet. Or gave up on their current diet. Everyone is trying to lose weight. Yet there are so many overweight people. I've never had weight problem or even thought about dieting until i came to the us. You see in the last few years that I've been here. I went from 110lbs to 175lbs. I was annoyed. I just wanted to lose weight fast.

I didn't have any weight problem in thailand. It only start when I came to the us. I tried the Atkins diet, The south beach diet, the apple patch diet, and many more. These diet claim that I would lose weight fast. It work for a while but i eventually gain the weight back. Also it was hard for me to stay on the diets because I would always crave junk food such as oreos, chips, and fast food. All day I would think of how I could lose weight fast yet i couldn't control my craving.

Last summer I went to thailand to visit my family and realize something. When i was visiting i notice that people ate white rice all day long. They ate sweets and noodles. They literally eats all day long.

So if the Asain are eating white carbs all day. Why is it thats is hard to find an overweight Asain? Then it finally came to me. You see in Asia. Nearly everything is fresh. If you go to the market. You'll see that the fruits and the veggies will not look perfect. This is because in Thailand they don't really use pesticides. So while the fruit and veggie won't look as super pretty. They're definitely better for you and they taste a whole lot better. Nearly everyone eats brown eggs. The cows and the chicken are farm raise and are not injected with growth hormones. And most food has no added preservatives. In fact hardly anyone eats pre packages food and dessert.

I realize that my body was full of toxins. That can't be good I thought. The food I was eating was full of chemicals that was harming my bodies. And the worst part was that the I was addicted to them. I was addict to junk food. The craving just didn't go away. So I start to looks for answer of how i get lose weight and found the fat lost secret. Using the fat loss secret I lost weight fast. I lost 20lbs in just one month. All together i lost 57lbs. And the best part is i never gain it back.

The South Beach Diet Comes Ashore

South Beach Diet Articles : The South Beach Diet Comes Ashore by Jason Mark Hulott

There seems to be no end to the measures people will go to in order to lose weight. The South Beach Diet is a relative newcomer to the scene, but follows its predecessors to some extent. Like its cousin the Atkins diet, South Beach was created by a medical doctor. A cardiologist named Arthur Agatston. His practice is based in Miami Beach, Florida. This is also where the name of the diet originates.

As with other diets, the South Beach lifestyle incorporates exercise and other changes in order to best affect weight loss. Dieters follow three phases. The first phase is the strictest. And the hardest to stick to. In the 14 days of this phase, dieters are being reprogrammed to avoid certain foods. These "forbidden" foods include potatoes, fruit, bread, cereal, rice, pasta, beets, carrots, and corn. The point is teaching the body to burn fat instead of sugar for energy. This sugar-burning process is why people crave sugar. And starches. While the first phase is very hard to follow, it also leads to the greatest weight loss. Some people can lose up to fourteen pounds in the first two weeks. In particular, the fat around the midsection will begin to decrease.

Phase Two of the South Beach Diet is easier than Phase One. Some forbidden foods are allowed now. They are incorporated slowly. Other starchy/sugary foods are still discouraged. Phase Two isn't given a timeline. Some dieters will need more time to re-train their bodies than others. Once dieters have learned to control sugar cravings, they will be entering Phase Three. This phase is more a lifestyle change. It has no real discernable end. Dieters ready for this point in the program have been successful. They have learned how to lose weight. And keep it off. They have learned to let go of their cravings. They now know how to determine a healthy food from one that isn't.

What makes the South Beach Diet different from, say, the Atkins diet? They are both low-carb diets. They both encourage dieters to eat certain foods. Foods that have a low Glycemic Index (aka GI index). This means that they don't cause blood sugar to rise or fall quickly. The South Beach choice doesn't require dieters to count calories. Or carbs. It encourages eating certain types of fat. These "healthy" fats differ from saturated fats.

The South Beach Diet has become very popular among dieters. Those who are looking for a good alternative to the Atkins diet are flocking to this low-carb choice. Like many other newer diets, food companies have jumped on the bandwagon. Kraft now has a line of foods out that promote the tenets of the South Beach lifestyle. These foods are packaged in meals. They are readied for easy purchase and consumption. And dieters are taking them home. This diet in particular has created a stir among people who wish to lose weight but don't want to give up their favorite foods. The South Beach lifestyle simply requires the dieter to think: Are the foods I'm eating good or bad? Do they have healthy or unhealthy fats? Once the veil of cravings has been lifted in Phase One, living a South Beach life is quite easy.

The South Beach Diet - How To Put It Into Practice

South Beach Diet Articles : The South Beach Diet - How To Put It Into Practice by Marcus Ryan

If you are like many people around the world, chances are good that you are searching for a weight loss method that you can actually live with.

The problem with many diets and weight loss plans are that they require long term lifestyle changes that the vast majority of people either cannot live with or simply are not willing to live with. In other words, far too many weight loss regimens leave dieters feeling deprived for much of the time.

The South Beach Diet believes that food does not need to be an albatross but can in fact be a liberator if you make the effort to learn how to eat the right way.

Have you checked out the many wonderful food combinations that are acceptable through the South Beach Diet? You just might find more than a few pleasant surprises along the way.

The South Beach Diet is successful in many people that have tried and failed countless other diets because dieters are able to retrain their bodies when it comes to breaking down and processing the food for fuel. You aren't required to give up food as part of the South Beach Diet.

In fact, you are encouraged to eat so that your body will properly react to the foods that are being consumed. The point of the South Beach Diet is to learn to fill up and fuel up with the right foods so that you will not feel hungry or deprived and can enjoy foods that may not be the best foods to consume in moderation.

Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet is the most restrictive phase but only lasts two weeks. If you're creative you can enjoy some great foods that will help diminish the need for those bad carbohydrates that often do people in on other diets. So if you're looking for an easy breakfast food for Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet try this recipe.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Cups

4 ounces of sausage 5 large eggs chopped bell pepper to taste (about ½ an average sized pepper) chopped onion to taste (about ¼ cup) sliced mushrooms to taste (about 1.5 cups) ½ cup low fat cheddar cheese (shredded) You can add some spices to taste such as cayenne pepper or oregano

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is heating you should spray the muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray. Then you need to fry the sausage, peppers, and onions until the sausage is cooked through. Place the mixture in a bowl to cool then mix in eggs and mushrooms. You should then spoon the mixture into individual muffin tins in equal amounts, sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake for 20 minutes.

Eating two of these is a great way to start the day and works well on Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet and beyond. You can make double batches on the weekend and enjoy two cups for breakfast each and every morning for a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast.

Top Fat Loss Diets Reviewed - Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle

Weight Loss Articles : Top Fat Loss Diets Reviewed - Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle by Joan Martin

If you're interested in getting leaner, there is a great new ebook that you must check out, by Tom Venuto. Tom is one of the most respected names in the bodybuilding game because of the amazing physique he has built WITHOUT the use of steroids or other drugs.

Here is a guy who has competed in bodybuilding 28 times at between 3.7% and 4.5% bodyfat, which is a phenomenal achievement when you realize that it's been done naturally. Therefore when Tom decides to write down his fat loss secrets then you just have to take a look.

Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto offers a wide variety of helpful solid information for the dieter. The strength of this book lies not just in its diet and nutrition information per se, (which is the primary focus of the book), but in its extensive use of motivational techniques and helpful ways for people to stay focused on their goals.

The truth is, setting the proper goals and keeping motivated is half the battle to successful long term fat loss, and this book excels in that area by teaching you how to program your mind for success.

Even if you're just a beginner, or even if you're already following a diet like Body For Life, The Zone, South Beach, or any other, I would consider 'Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle' to be a very worthy addition to the library of anyone looking to lose fat and keep muscle." Tom's program is based on using the right type, frequency and intensity of exercise (BURN), which allows you to actually eat more (FEED) and still easily shed your unwanted body fat. There is NO starvation dieting involved.

This program also allows you to keep your muscle, which is important because most conventional diets cause you to lose at least a pound of lean tissue for every pound of fat you lose. Retaining muscle is the key to optimal fat burning metabolism. On this webpage you can read all about Tom's new fascinating 'Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle' principles.

Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle - Achieve Permanent Weight Loss - A Review

Weight Loss Articles : Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle - Achieve Permanent Weight Loss - A Review by John Landers

Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is a winner! This program has been the best selling diet and fitness book on the Internet for several years and has been sold in more than 130 countries. My personal prejudice against e-books caused me to lose at least two years of living a fit and healthy lifestyle. For some reason I always felt that anything that was going to work for me as it related to weight loss loss (or anything else for that matter,) would have to come in a more traditional package, so I never consider investing in a nutrition and diet e-book. Boy was I wrong! Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle has not only helped me to lose 30 pounds and look and feel the best I have in years, but my mindset about my body is totally different. Let me pick up on my personal story of searching for that 'holy grail' of weight loss.

Early in 2007, while walking up the stairs in my home, I literally felt exhausted; it was as though I was attempting to climb a mountain with a refrigerator strap on my back. My legs were very heavy and the only thing I was hauling was myself- plus an extra 20 or 30 pounds. It was then that I knew I had to do something about the excess weight. I made the decision that I wanted to end the year at a weight that I would be comfortable with and to be well on my way to changing my lifestyle - to become healthier and more fit became an obsession.

With this in mind, I began a sincere effort to once and for all find a program that would not only help me to lose the weight, but to assist me in taking the necessary steps to change my life. There is a saying that 'the teacher will appear when the student is ready;' well, I was more than ready. For the next several days I spent hours surfing the Internet and researching the latest weight loss programs, meal plans, and workout routines.

Well into my project I began to notice how some sites and program were centered on many of the traditional approaches to losing weight, you know them all- diet pills, supplements, South Beach Diet, the Atkins diet, etc. Yet, others were emphasizing how burning fat and building lean muscle naturally led to weight loss and more important- how to keep it off. Something else that stuck out, like a pink elephant in the middle of the living room floor, was how I was consistently coming across this one e-book that was getting high marks in the many stories and reviews that I read - Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle, written by a nutritionist, body builder and personal trainer Tom Venuto. After some careful consideration I decided to take the author up on his money back guarantee and plunked down the $37.00 for what I was surprised to find out was a rather lengthy e-book.

Now the size of this manual is enough to scare off anyone looking for a quick weight loss solution. It is comprised of 17 chapters/ 340 pages of the most thorough, honest, and down to earth information that I have ever read regarding the intricacies of nutrition and fitness. It not only explained how to put into effect a personalized diet and exercise program, but it goes into details on how to set realistic goals and the art of self-motivation.

His insight into why most people never reach their optimal weight and fitness level is balanced with a slew of fat loss methods and secrets that were previously known only to bodybuilders and models. After my initial reading of his manual, I finally understood that through frequent workouts and the building of muscle tissue my body would automatically burn more calories than what I was consuming on a daily basis. The information and strategies on nutrition were different but realistic, and did not require me to starve myself or eating foods that were tasteless and bland. It was a relief to know that as long as I was eating the right types of foods, I would not have to count calories, and the lean muscles that I was developing would burn fat (calories) even as I slept.

What I like most about Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is that Tom Venuto tells you straight up that his program is not one of those "lose 20 pounds in the next 48 hours" type solutions. I'll admit that I wasn't overcome with joy after I realized that this was really going to required some hard work and dedication on my part. However, I truly appreciated his honesty in communicating to the reader that permanent weight loss was going to require a lifestyle change; furthermore, nutrition and the correct approach to a workout routine went hand in hand. Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is loaded with examples of real people, in all age groups, who have gone through the trials and tribulation, of struggling to lose weight. Reading a real life story was very encouraging; the success experienced by these 'regular people' imprinted on my mind that I too could get the results I was seeking.

If there is a drawback to this publication, its that Tom delivers what seems like reams of information on fat loss, nutrition, aerobics, weight and strength training, and the mental aspects of it all. However, comprehensive information and methods is what is missing in most of the other products and services. It may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but realize that what you have at your fingertips will help you to learn how to be flexible, implement nutritional strategies, exercise properly, and to finally get on the road to improved fat loss, fitness and health. This is what you are searching for, right? The good thing here is that the the volume of information contained in Tom's book will allow you to push all the other books, programs, manuals and other worthless materials to the side. This truly is the "only manual you'll ever need." Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle has been the top selling diet and fitness book on the Internet for one reason only - it works! It is up to you to read it and take action. If you are serious about getting rid of the extra fat and are tired of the "yo-yo" dieting and you look forward to the day when you know you are healthy and fit , I recommend that you take a look at Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle .

Believe me, this e-book is worth every penny (I would not hesitate to pay twice as much) and you get a bunch of nice bonuses. Go for it; you can do it!

Need A Lose Weight Fast Diet? How To Lose A Pound A Day

Weight Loss Articles : Need A Lose Weight Fast Diet? How To Lose A Pound A Day by Jay Land

Two-thirds of the US adult population is overweight; not only can this additional weight become nagging, but there are numerous health risks as well. For many, a lose weight fast diet is at the top of their wish list; and even more would love to lose a pound a day if they could just figure out how to do it in a safe way. With the summer season only a few months away special occasions will be dotting the social and travel scene - weddings and class reunions are just a few of the events.

Not to mention excursions to the local beach, as well as exotic vacations that are being planned, so fitting into that sexy swim wear will be a high priority for many.

Some of you have probably experienced one of more of the many diet programs in your effort to sheds those unwanted pounds. You know the ones - low calories, low fat, low carbohydrates, Atkins, South Beach, I could go on and on. The fact of the matter is that they seem to work for everyone except for you. Well, before you give up, consider this revolutionary approach to fat loss that have put the dieting world on notice, the program is called Fat Loss 4 Idiots it promises that you will see a noticeable change in your body within the first 11 days.

This weight loss solution requires that you eat more than 3 meals per day for the purpose of stimulating your body and speeding up the calorie burning process. How's that for starters - no starving yourself here. By speeding up the body's metabolism, through the manipulation of the natural fat burning hormones and turning off the hormones that causes fat to be stored in the body, the process leads to a loss of weight. The concepts underlying this lose weight fast diet is known as "calorie shifting." It works in the following way:

1) On any given day your body burns calories (or fat) based on the eating habit you have established during the past few days. Your metabolism is actually programmed to anticipate that you will continue eating the same type of meals and calories as you have been, thus creating the same amount of natural fat burning hormones.

2) If you alter your eating habits, you will provide a "shock" to your metabolic system. You do this by changing up the types of calories and meals you eat for more than a couple of days at a time.

3) This "shifting" of the kind of calories you are feeding your body will cause your metabolism to not only melt away these calories. But once they are gone, it starts to burn away at the fat that is stored in your body. It's easy to see how you can lose a pound a day with this diet approach.

You really can rid of the excess weight; the fat that is stored in your body is supposed to be burned away not stored. Again, what you must do is stimulate the body into creating more fat-burning hormones. What is fantastic about this lose weight fast diet is that you do not have to guess at what you need to eat and how much, all the information and tools that you need are provided for you.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots includes a downloadable diet handbook and an online Diet Generator where you can choose the foods you want to eat and just generate your menu. So if you would like to lose a pound a day its time to get serious and start now!

Most people can't lose weight because they won't get off the fence. Check out this lose weight fast diet program; it is among the best sellers on the Internet for a reason- it works! In just a short time you can be wearing that hot swimwear or dress that you have hanging in your closet; imagine the new slimmer you in 11 days time.

The South Beach Diet - Low Carb Recipe

Weight Loss Articles : The South Beach Diet - Low Carb Recipe by south-beach-diet.org

The South Beach Diet is the new black in the world of dieting. The South Beach Diet was originally created by Dr.Arthur Agatston, a leading cardiac physician. The diet was initially created to improve the heart-health of his patients. it was later discovered that, as a pleasant side effect, the patients on this diet were also losing a lot of weight. Dr.Agatston claims that The South Beach Diet is not a low-fat or low-carb diet, but instead it is a diet that focuses on acquiring the correct fats and carbs. The South Beach Diet is formed around the glycemic index in which carbs are restricted in the first two weeks of beginning the diet and gradually replaced with carbs that contain a low glycemic index. Saturated fats are also replaced with unsaturated fats.

A rapid increase in blood sugar occurs when foods that r rich in carbs is consumed. To counter this effect, large amounts are released by the pancreas. The resulting drop in blood sugar will cause a lack of energy and a lethargic feeling, which in turn makes you crave more carbs. If this cycle is allowed to continue, the chances are more than likely that you will end up gaining weight. Furthermore, the body is capable of becoming more and more immune to the action of insulin and the body will become more prone to storing fat.

In the first phase of The South Beach Diet, the restriction of carbs creates a disruption in the carbs/insulin cycle. This intermission resolves the problem of the insulin immunization. the restricted foods consists of mostly complex carbohydrates approximating rice, pasta, grains, as well as, fruits, milk, sugar and alcohol. In this phase, the diet revolves mainly around lean meat, fish and eggs. It is not uncommon for South Beach Dieters to lose up to 14 pounds in this phase.

Low GI carbs such as fruits, whole grain bread, cereals, pasta and skim milk are gradually reintroduced in the second phase of the South Beach Diet. The second phase is maintained until the target weight is realized.

In phase three, a wider array of foods are introduced. This phase is meant to be permanent and your weight is maintained throughout this phase. Appropriate snacking is recommended and there are no limits for meal portions but it is required that enough food is eaten to satisfy your needs.

The most difficult part of the south beach diet would be in the first phase where there is a major call for will power when extreme carb restriction is imposed. There will be a lack of vitamins and minerals in this phase as well because the sources for fiber, vitamins and minerals are terminated. Nutrition experts do favor The South Beach Diet however as it basically follows the principals of healthy eating.

Foods that burn FAT

Weight Loss Articles : Foods that burn FAT by Rula Saba

I here would like to share with you my story about loosing weight. I gained significant weight after I had my two daughters. It was hard to loose it especially after the second baby.

The diets that I selected were mainly those that would help me loose weight fast. With such diets, I lost about 10 pounds in the first couple of weeks, but it was very difficult to loose any more after that. I used low carb diets, Atkins (0 carb diet), South Beach, and a few others. But none of them was the answer to my problem.

I am not really sure why the aforementioned diets did not work for me although they are advertised to be effective. I later noticed that they all have one thing in common, which is to starve or completely stay away from certain foods (e.g. no carbs, or no fat) which made me crave for them after not having them for some time. This led me to go back and eat even more than I used to before starting a diet.

I then realized that I should look for a permanent diet scheme that can become part of my life style. I did a lot of research on healthy fat burning diets until I eventually discovered the answer to my problem. Below is a collection of different tips that I gathered from the various sources:

- Firstly, eating the proper food is the key to loosing weight. The proper food is mainly the healthy and fat burning one. Such a food should be good for me and good for my whole family. .i.e. no need to cook a special diet food for myself different from the one prepared for the rest of the family's - No need to completely stop eating any kind of food (carb, fat, protein, fruits...) nor starve - Eat more than 3 meals a day. 5 to 6 small portion meals 2 to 3 hours apart is recommended - No snacks between meals - Know what to eat and enjoy it

Specific tips:

- Eat baked and grilled foods. Limit fried foods - Limit fat intake (e.g. small amount of oil spray can be used when needed to fry) - When craving for fatty food, eat it in small portions in replacement of one of my 5-6 daily meals provided that no more fatty food eaten that day - Limit sugar intake. Safe Sweetners can be used as a replacement - Eat foods that are fiber rich as they limit fat absorption in the body (35g of fiber or more daily is recommended) - Eat whole wheat and multi grain breads. - Eat white meats and limit red meats - Limit salt intake as salt stores weight and stop the weight loss process - Don't get hungry. I always take food with me when I plan to be outside the house for a while. I pack a Sandwich, an apple, yogurt, Wheat bread sticks, or a high fiber cereal bar - Eat wheat pasta instead of white pasta. Wheat pasta is served in a good number of restaurants these days - When dining out, stay away from creamy meals (e.g. creamy pastas). For those creamy rich plates that I like so much, I tend to have them only on occasions or once every long while.

This type of life style made me feel that I am living like a normal person but at the same time it helped me loose weight. Once I started this life style diet I started to feel lite and gradually started to loose weight. It took me a couple of months to loose 10 pounds but during that time there were a number of holidays that passed by during which I ordered some of favorite delicious cakes and chocolates. I have eaten a small portion of what I ordered and I had some once a day for a couple of days in replacement of one of my daily meals. This slight deviation from my diet did not contribute to any gain to my weight.

Good Glycemic Foods

Weight Loss Articles : Good Glycemic Foods by Alison McKenzie

The Glycemic Index which was discovered in 1981 and is the basis for many recently popular diets, including the South Beach Diet as well as others. The Glycemic Index determines how long certain carbohydrates take to break down and digest in the system. Those with a high rating, take the longest time to break down and do the most damage to the system of someone with diabetes. The good glycemic foods; that is, those with the lower rates, are more desirable not only for diabetics, but for those who are watching their carbohydrate intake through such diets as the South Beach Diet, they should also be aware of what the good glycemic foods are.

Good glycemic foods tend to get absorbed slowly into the system, allowing the body to break down the refined sugars and starches so that the body can digest them properly. People with Type I and Type II diabetes have a difficult time digesting carbohydrates, particularly those that rank high on the glycemic index, and therefore due to the lack of proper digestion making it difficult for the diabetic to expel glucose from their blood. While most diabetics are wise to avoid most, if not all carbohydrates, as these are the most difficult to digest and break down, certain carbohydrates are better than others for diabetics to consume.

Good glycemic foods tend to have a low score on the Glycemic Index. Good glycemic foods are still carbohydrates, but it is easier for the diabetic to digest and are much healthier and more preferable than those glycemic foods that rank highly on the Glycemic Index. There are substitutions available for foods that have a high ranking on the Glycemic Index and are widely available in supermarkets and other food stores.

Some of the foods that rate low on the Glycemic Index include most fruits and vegetables, Although fruits and vegetables contain sugar, the sugars contained in these good glyceic foods digest into the system at a slower rate and also provide valuable nutrients to the diabetic, and everyone else of course. The only vegetable that a diabetic should avoid is a potato, as it has a high glycemic index. However other fruits and vegetables are more preferable than white rice, white bread, corn flakes and anything made with white refined sugar or flour.

Other good glycemic foods include wholegrain breads and pastas. If you or a loved one has Type I or Type II diabetes, you should switch to whole grain breads and pastas made from wheat flour. This can be tremendously helpful to anyone who wants to manage their glycemia as well as anyone who wants to follow low carb diets. Basmati rice is also considered one of the good glycemic foods.

Often, it is not a matter of eliminating carbohydrates entirely when one is using diet to control their diabetes, but understanding which carbohydrates rate high on the glycemic index. Diabetes is a disease that can be controlled by proper diet, monitoring one's blood sugar and following doctors orders with taking medication as well as diet and nutrition.

Diet Plans - Popular Diet Plans Review

Weight Loss Articles : Diet Plans - Popular Diet Plans Review by Christine Patterson

Typically when diet plans and weight loss programs are compared, it's done to show you things like differences in price, foods you can and can not eat, and which ones are easier to follow. It's safe to say that this comparison is going to be a little bit different.
The Atkins Diet Plan:

The Atkins Diet is a high-protein, high-fat and low-carbohydrate weight-loss diet popularized by Dr. Robert C. Atkins. It is a form of ketogenic diet.

The science behind how the Atkins diet helps you to lose weight is simple. When you eat very few carbohydrates (which are your usual main source of energy), the body goes into what is called a 'ketogenic state' where it must rely on stored fat for energy. As a result, you burn fat quickly and begin to lose weight. This process also makes the body produce compounds called ketones, which initially give dieters a 'buzz' or euphoric feeling. Most dieters don't feel deprived on low-carbohydrates diets for the first several days because they are eating meals high in fat.

Weight Watchers Diet Plan:

Weight Watchers is a diet program which combines weight loss and exercise ideas. As a membership incentive system it offers special foods, cookbooks and exercise plans for a fee.

Weight Watchers points are awarded for success and the dieter has the support of Weight Watchers groups around the world and chapter members from his or her local group. The advantages are that one can lose weight with others, having the support of others who are fighting the same battles. Weight Watcher products are readily available, and there are hundreds of web sites for support.

Jenny Craig Weight Loss Program:

The Jenny Craig program offers personalized diet plans, and offers guidance at weekly meetings at Jenny Craig centers.

Participants must follow their personal meal plan, consisting of pre-packaged 'Jenny' meals along with healthy fruits and vegetables. The plan encourages healthy lifestyle changes and moderate eating. Clients get a personal touch as they work with counselors to find out their unique caloric needs, and can adjust their goals accordingly.

The Slim-Fast Plan:

Slim-Fast consists of meal-replacement shakes, snack bars and one real-food dinner, giving a total of around 1200 calories in a single day.

Slim-Fast has been designed to make weight-loss as easy as possible. There is nothing to count, no need to measure portions, you don't need to eliminate anything from your diet; all foods are OK, and no foods are forbidden. The plan involves 6 small meals/snacks per day, using Slim-Fast products for two meals and a snack and the rest of the day you're on your own, to prepare a "sensible" dinner. Once you reach your weight-loss goal, just replace one meal a day with a Slim-Fast meal and stick with the healthy lifestyle changes that you have made, such as exercising, and you will maintain your weight.

The NutriSystem Diet Meal Plan:

The NutriSystem Diet entails eating mainly prepackaged NutriSystem meals until you reach your desired weight. For about $300 you get 28 days worth of entrees, snacks, and desserts delivered to your home.

You begin this diet by selecting the program that best meets your needs: Women’s, Men’s, Silver for Women, Silver for Men, Type 2 Diabetes, or Vegetarian. You can then either let NutriSystem select your meals or you can choose for yourself. Standard programs, such as Women's or Men's, offer over 300 different meals to choose from. But subscribers to the other programs have a more limited selection; for example, the vegetarian program lets you choose from about 60 entrees and desserts). Once you enroll in a program, the meals that you select will be delivered to your home. The meals are designed to be quick and convenient and don't even require refrigeration.

The South Beach Diet:

The South Beach Diet emphasizes normal portions of lean proteins such as fish and chicken; unlimited amounts of low-glycemic-index vegetables; ample amounts of healthy fats such as olive and canola oil, nuts and avocados; and small portions of "healthy carbs" found in fruit and less-processed grains.

By following this way of eating, the plan promises positive changes in markers of cardiovascular health: lower cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, along with increased HDL cholesterol levels. There are three phases in this diet. Dieters are encouraged to move back and forth between the different phases as needed to maintain their weight loss.

Phase I is the most restrictive and lasts for two weeks. It emphasizes lean proteins, fat-free or low-fat cheese, nuts, eggs, tofu, legumes, healthy types of fat and low-glycemic-index vegetables. Phase II reintroduces fruit, whole grain bread, rice, pasta and fat-free milk and yogurt. Dieters stay on Phase II until they've lost their desired amount of weight. Phase III is for maintenance and should be followed for life.

In summary, there is more than one way to lose weight. Include a fitness routine no matter how small, and you're guaranteed an easier time bridging the weight loss gap.
